Request for Proposal 2014 Website Design and Development

Request for Proposal 2014 Website Design and Development

Purpose

GLBT Pride/Twin Cities (Pride) is issuing this Request for Proposal seeking to redesign and develop its website. We seek dedicated professionals who will work with us to form the concept of a modern site and follow it through to completion and beyond. This RFP will serve to gather candidates and evaluate them against each other. This RFP should not be taken as a contract, but instead should serve as a guide for the plan and vision of Twin Cities Pride’s online presence.

Overview

Twin Cities Pride is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit Minnesota corporation, with a mission to “create experiences that bring the greater GLBT community together to commemorate our diverse heritage, foster inclusion, educate and create awareness of issues, and celebrate achievements in equality.” To achieve this, we create events that are open and inviting to everyone in the community, providing a safe environment in which individuals feel free to celebrate their relationships.

Attendance at our Pride Celebration has doubled in the last ten years, with over 350,000 guests attending the events in 2013. As one of the largest GLBT Pride Celebrations in the United States, and the largest in the upper Midwest, our Celebration is comprised of several annual events, the largest two being the Pride Festival and the Ashley Rukes GLBT Pride Parade. Each year, Twin Cities Pride also produces several other events and promotes numerous community-produced events.

Timeline

Proposals will be accepted until Thursday, October 3, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. Proposals must be addressed to: Twin Cities Pride, Attn: Dot Belstler, 2021 East Hennepin Ave, Suite 460, Minneapolis MN 55413 or by email to rfp@tcpride.org with Website RFP in the subject line. Proposals will be reviewed and finalists notified by October 7, 2013. All companies submitting RFPs will be contacted within thirty days following that notification.
